The 3rd Annual Chemistry & Pharmacology of Drug Abuse (CPDA) 2018 Conferenceis right around the corner, August 2nd - 3rd in the East Village building on Northeastern University's campus. 

We’re honored to announce our Distinguished Keynote Speaker Brian Kobilka, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Biochemistry in 2012 for his seminal work on G-Protein coupled receptors.  Our stellar lineup also includes Bryan Roth, Amy Newman, Kim Janda, Venetia Zachariou, Georgios Skiniotis, Larry Marnett, Diomedes Logothetis, Joseph Frank Cotton, Imad Damaj, and Ryan Hibbs with opening remarks from conference director Alexandros Makriyannis. 

 

Interested in presenting?

The CPDA is dedicated to showcasing junior and senior scientists involved in drug abuse research.  We are currently accepting abstract submissions for presenting posters and/or talks, which can be submitted via our registration portal.  A limited number of travel awards are available for speakers, and can also be requested when registering.  Priority will be given to diverse applicants and those who have yet to receive a travel award from our past conferences.  The abstract submission deadline is June 1st. 

Booking your stay

We are pleased to offer accommodation options at special rates through Northeastern’s Conference Housing and the Colonnade Hotel.  If staying at Northeastern, accommodations can be booked directly via the registration portal at $118/person/night.  If staying at the Colonnade, reservations should be made via email directly through Ms. Daisy Grondin by July 2nd .  Be sure to mention the conference when booking to receive the special rate of $289/night. 

The Colonnade is approximately an 8 minute walk from where the conference will be held, The East Village (291 St. Botolph, Boston, MA 02115).  University accommodations are located a similar distance from the East Village, in the International Village (1155 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02120).  Check out this campus map for more details.
